GVI Virtual Open Day

 

Join us online on 21 August to learn more about endangered species such as elephants, lemurs and sea turtles you can work to conserve on our projects, as well as advice from our experts on how a GVI experience can influence your career path. Our field staff from Madagascar, Thailand, Greece and Belize will be offering insight into our conservation and ethical community development programs in these locations. And, past participants will be sharing their experiences and answering your questions live.

Are you passionate about conservation? And want to make an impact? We’re hosting a Protect the Endangered Open Day on Saturday 21 August 2021. Sign up via the link below and join us online to find out how you can contribute. You’ll learn all about endangered species such as elephants, lemurs and sea turtles you can work to conserve on our projects, as well as advice from our experts on how a GVI experience can influence your career path. You’ll also find out what it means for a species to be endangered, what the most common threats are and what you can do in your everyday life to help.

Talks on the day will cover our mission, our goals, our impact, career development with GVI, general volunteering with GVI, and our online courses. Our field staff from Madagascar, Thailand, Greece and Belize, will be offering insight into our conservation and ethical community development programs in these locations. Past participants will also be sharing their experiences and answering your questions live.

Additionally, there’ll be special offers available. As an attendee, you’ll be able to secure your booking with a deposit of only £50 paid by midnight Monday 23 August (GMT+1 / BST) and qualify for an additional £100 off your booking. If you book via this offer, you can also pay your program off in installments at no extra cost (usually a fee of £125 applies).

Details: This event will take place over Zoom. A link will be sent to you via email and text message the day before the event. Please note that no Zoom account is needed and in the event that you would like to download Zoom, the free version is perfectly suitable. If you are a first-time Zoom user, please note that all GVI presenters and other attendees will not be able to see you via video or hear you via sound. As an attendee, you’ll be able to engage with us and other attendees via the chatbox and ask the presenter questions in real-time via the Q&A box. These questions will then be answered live.
